To be honest, I'm not really a quotes person. I'm not the type of person that gets really inspired by a quote and writes it down in a 'quote journal'. However there are a handful that stood out to me and are pretty memorable to me.
“Yes, death. Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grasses waving above one's head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no to-morrow. To forget time, to forget life, to be at peace. You can help me. You can open for me the portals of death's house, for love is always with you, and love is stronger than death is.” - Oscar Wilde
I should've just copied the first 5 sentences because that's what really stood out to me. Death is a pretty scary topic. Because those who have died can't comeback and tell us the experience. Unless they're zombies. Zombie poets. I don't know where I'm going with this.
Here are my favoruite Bruce Lee quotes:
“Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do.”
“Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one.”
"If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.”
Ever had an action hero or an star that you idolized? That you put posters up everywhere and even bust out a few kung-fu moves whenever you feel inspired by looking at that idol in action? Yeah Bruce Lee is my idol. I'm 18 but I'll never grow up. He's just too amazing.
And last but not least:
“Why do we fall...? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up.”- Alfred Pennyworth
I love and have watched that movie to death and I pretty much live my life around the Batman trilogy. It is my biggest source of motivation actually.
