Wah, that fic was so bittersweet. I mean, we all take it as obvious that they became Shinigami and they're strong and almost immortal, but your point is reasonable - bet they'd die if they stayed... I love ya for that fic! (I especially liked that you, eeer, contrasted them a bit in the first four paragraphs ^^ )
