I am leaving three weeks from today to Hoosierville, USA, i.e. Indiana, specifically West Lafayette, home to Purdue University, home of the "Boilermakers", whatever those are. Mainly because I'm looking at a year of a whole lot of nothing till I go to grad school. My brother is going to grad school there.

Yes, indeed, it was!!! That book is 145 pages of staggering genius. I usually keep a pad of paper handy so that when I come across a quote in a book that strikes my fancy, I can write it down for easy future reference, and yet this was an excercise in futility while I was reading "A Man Without A Country" because the whole thing struck my fancy from start to finish. Especially the part about not wanting to live in a world where the three most powerful individuals on the planet were named "Bush, Dick and Colon".

Yes, exactly! that was one of my favorite quotes from that book. I couldn't put it down. I think i finished it in a few hours, it was so good!
Brian's mom let me borrow it and i gave it back, but i'm going to have to go buy my own copy.
