the thing that i don't understand is how some people feel that they are more important of a person or as part of a job if they were doing so in a city. many of the people i go to school with are desperate to have a life and a career in a city, but as you said, buildings are buildings, but sometimes cities are mirages ( ... )

it is ignorant to state that every city is the same because every city is different. they are similar on the outside but they all function different based on development of the city. cities have their pros and cons, true, but they are not the same. you cannot find the same thing in every city, max, and you should know that to say otherwise is a bullshit statement. different cities have different things to offer and it's important to know if one place doesn't have what you're looking for, because then you should search for a new place. searching is not bad and not everything you're looking for is right in front of you. if that were true people would stay where they were always because why else go through the hassle of moving. there are a million different things in a million different places, much as it is with people, and generalization is ignorant.

Somehow, that all sounds familiar. That was in response to people saying how much Boston sucks and how it sucks to be back, blah blah.

Max, you're wrong. you're wrong because there are a wide variety of different factors which attract people to different places. Sure people are bound to find people who they are compatible with just about anywhere, but it doesn't make sense to say that people are the sole element needed to comprise an environment in which someone can find everything they need to be happy. I think you wrote this as a joke, you told me to write this. It's really late Max, I bet you didn't think I would write this but I did.
