"The exception that proves the rule" is an interesting phrase. It was originally used in British law in the 17th century to mean that one can infer a general rule from an exception, e.g. "No parking on Sundays" implies parking the rest of the week, hence, the exception proves the rule. Everybody's in love with Andrew Jackson right now. All these books and NPR interviews are resurrecting him from oblivion. I'm a little annoyed by everyone's obsession with looking to past presidents for Obama comparisons. I hate revering old presidents, it's so patriotic in that banal but disgusting way. Gross old white guys running the world.

I didn't mean to imply that I revere him. I was just saying that he's crazy. Also, aside from killing natives, I don't know what he has in common with barack.

When are you going to be in san diego?

Oh, I know you don't revere him. But many people seem to. He's a people's president, a self-made man. That's what he has in common with Barry. I'm flying to SD on the 26th. You'll still be there, right?
