Confession

Jan 11, 2006 10:37

I have a confession to make. When it comes to rock/pop music, I like singers with bizarre voices:

Bob Dylan
David Byrne (Talking Heads)
Roger Hodgson (Supertramp)
David Bowie
Gordon Gano (Violent Femmes)
Joe Strummer (The Clash)

What does this say about me?

Actually, despite him being recommended to me by several people, I still haven't gotten around to listening to any marilyn manson. You got any I can borrow?

Also: who's Jay Gordon?

I'll grant that his voice is weird for what he looks like, but it's not all that weird a voice, in general. But yeah... I'll borrow anything you want to lend me.

Maybe listening to people with bizzarre voices just makes you feel less bizzare yourself (hehehe). Actually, I dont think I have ever hear any of those people sing (though I have heard of two of them). ;-)

Uh... I've taken a semester each of Syntax and Semantics, and I can't figure out what this sentence is supposed to say... please clarify?

Why have you not given up yet? I mean, after awhile, you should just realize that I don't make sense. I was saying that I have never those peoples voices, because I have never heard any of them sing. In the parentheses I was saying that I have only heard of two of those people.

I am not even sure that my explanation made sense.... too bad.

It didn't, but I have figured out what you meant.

Tsk tsk, never hearing David Bowie is bad enough, but Bob Dylan??? I mean, come on! Get out there and listen to some Dylan!
