So I've realized I'm starting to get sick of defending myself to others. To friends I would on occasion 'clarify' as a courtesy, as I didn't want them to think harm was meant when it wasn't. i'm backing you here, m8. there's something about being with friends who truly KNOW you, and who you can be yourself around, that's liberating. Makes you realize how you wear a mask around other friends... you just forgot you were wearing one.

Different people have different ideas of what a "joke" boundary is. If you hold everyone to your standards, you're obviously gonna get burnt once in awhile because nobody is the same.
