Being the Twentieth Entry (Some Reflections)

To everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday, thank you very much. With the exception of a few...hiccups (we still need to have a little discussion, Keiichi), the day was close to perfect.

Hikaru made me such a wonderful photo album...

And I must confess, being 'hosted' is a very strange and disturbing experience. I'm not quite sure what to make

[Assuming Kid's in his bedroom, Mokona toddles up to it and knocks on the door as best he can with one of his little paws. It might've been a little late, but the divine fluff ball took just a little too long to figure out what to get Kid for his birthday. But he hoped the thought would count.]

[Kid is in his bedroom, as a matter of fact, flipping through the photo album that Hikaru made for him. He's so absorbed in it that he barely hears the knock, but when he does, he sets the album on his nightstand and goes to the door.]

Yes?

[....He looks down, down, dooown, and sees Mokona. Keeping his expression neutral, he gives the creature a nod.]

Ah, hello.

[And cue a flick of an ear before the nod is returned, as is the greeting. Well, it's returned as only Mokona can return it.]

Pu.

[With a short hop back and a smile, the jewel on his head began to glow, a beam of light shining down to the floor after a short moment, forming a pattern looking akin to a spell circle. Something was obviously forming within it, and after a few seconds, two things appeared. The first was a small cake, and the second item was a picture of Hikaru from a moment not too long after she'd met Mokona. An image from his own memories that he thought Kid might like to have. Because his having taken a shine to Hikaru wasn't noticeable at ALL.]

Pu pu pu!~

[At first Kid, didn't know what to say, or even what to do. He'd been wary of Mokona since the tiny god- yes, Hikaru told him the story -had arrived in the City. Mokona was responsible for the Pillar system. Mokona was the reason Hikaru would disappear if she returned home.

...And yet.]

Mokona, you-

[Kid crouched down to the god's level, his expression softening at the sight of the gifts. Particularly the image of Hikaru. He picked up both the cake and the picture, and felt his lips tug into a smile.]
