Art, bottles, fish, and beads

My Contemporary Art History class is evidently going to involve visiting a lot of galleries. That could be interesting, and if nothing else, walking around town is generally nicer than sitting in a classroom looking at slides and failing to stay awake. I would feel more sympathy for Pluto if the pictures of it weren't such an icky pinkish color. It has such potential for being all dark and romantic and distant and moody, way off on the edge like some kind of goth planet, and then it turns out to be just another small, pink, cute thing, like maybe it's an underage girlfriend that Uranus picked up somewhere. (He always was kind of an ass.)

Look, also, a stranger has a pretty good little entry on cuteness as insult.
I have noticed recently that the things I apply 'cute' to (3d models of weaponry, alien creatures, work that doesn't quite merit a 'how great!' but is still clever or well-executed) are sort of weird and people laugh at me for it. We have an inadequate language, is all, I guess. Colloquially, at least.
