Obama is coming to campaign/endorse Barbara Boxer. I cannot recall a single person he endorsed who won the campaign, so I am pretty certain Boxer will be a goner. Who do you think the GOP nominee will be?
I wonder if Boxer will insist Obama call her "Senator" as she did that Brigadier General who (according to military protocol) called her ma'am last year?
And then there was Harry Alford, the head of the Black Chamber of Congress, who called her out for "taking me to colored town"?
I wish he could do an ad for her opponent. He's great!
No, Obama is 0-4 in backing losers in Virginia, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.
Here's hoping he again supplies the kiss of death. ;-)
Fiorina is clearly the front-runner, and likely the only GOP candidate who can beat Boxer. I prefer Chuck DeVore, but he hasn't got a hope in hell of winning the primary. Better Fiorina than Campbell, though.
I believe that the most recent Rasmussen polling shows Fiorina within the margin of error to Boxer. Which is WAY TOO CLOSE for the Dems' comfort - this was supposed to be a comfortably safe seat that they wouldn't have to spend money campaigning for. Instead, Boxer's in the fight of her life, and the DNC and DSCC are using funds they hoped to use to go after GOP Senate seats they might have thought to be vulnerable. I think they're starting to realize that they aren't going to have the money to go on the offensive - all of their funds are going to have to be spent defending the seats they already have. And, eventually, they are going to pull support away from candidates who have no hope of keeping their seats in an attempt to mitigate the bloodbath.
