This has so much 'truthiness' (thanks, Stephen Colbert!) it's not even funny. Generations of African-Americans live with the idea that they're owed something. I work in college recruitment for adults in a southern town, and probably about half of my A-A student population wants to know if A, they have to pay their loans back, B, how much money they can make going to school, and C, what Obama is going to do for them. "I want my O-BAma money!" I am not making that up.
It's not gaining an education for the purpose of getting out of these 'ghettos' that serve as housing, it's about what someone else can get them. Screw the education. Why get an education if you don't have to work?
In addition, it's hard for me to sit there, working my two jobs like I do to pay my taxes, student loans, and bills, and see some of these students drive up in a freaking Cadillac Escalade. So, please don't tell me there's no working of the system there.
Believe me, I know how you feel. My husband and I made 13k last year, and we have a mildly special needs son. No state benefits whatsoever. No food stamps, no Medicaid, no WIC, nothing. We didn't qualify! And the reason? Too many illegals on the system here in Texas. When I went in to apply solely for Medicaid for my son (which finally got approved this past June after 2 years waiting, and will get pulled after 6 months because my husband "makes too much") I was the only white person there

Wow. Absolutely MIND BLOWING!!! Living in the suburbs of Metro Detroit. This video needs to be a daily commerical in our area!! The City of Detroit def. needs to see this!
Got it off of Facebook. It was either, "I hate it every morning when I wake up and Obama is President" or "Tea Party Patriots." I don't remember which. May also have been "Glenn Beck." Can't remember. They're all good little communities.
The Democrat's party haven't changed much in the time of the civil war or even the civil rights movement. They use blacks to get the votes and then ignore them.
What strikes me though is that I have black friends that are democrats that truly believe that its the Republicans that do nothing to "help them." When in reality, they are in the situation they're in from trusting the Democrats and becoming dependent on the government. Then they demonize the Republicans for us wanting them to do something about their situation instead of just sitting on it
