They're targeting strip clubs, but I don't know why it can't apply to porn, too:

I often snark when people (generally it is men) say "females" instead of "women." I do find it annoying, because it carries the objectifying connotations of scientific language into a non-scientific context. It's sort of like how Christian republicans tend to say "homosexuals" instead of "gays."

Anyway, thanks for this post. Good to know. I think the OP's point about how stripping and porn are linked to consumerism is a good one.

And cannibalcountry's point about men needing to accept that the vast majority of women do not want to strip or do porn or prostitute is very important. Men need to stop claiming that it is empowering or that we're limiting women's rights when we try to limit these types of activities since it can be shown that WOMEN DO NOT WANT TO DO THESE THINGS, MEN WANT THEM TO.
