So I just finished the latest Bones, and I felt like doing a bit of a rant about Booth and his season 5/6 characterisation. As per usual, would love to hear your thoughts. Spoilers up to 6x13 under the cut.

My thoughts?

Honestly the thing the bugged me most was Booth chucking the ring.
I spent a good minute silently yelling at the screen don't throw that ring in the water. Which of course is what happened this pissed me off for two reasons one we were pointedly shown how ridiculously expensive it was, and so a ridiculous waste of money, but also it's so bloody cliché. What next go home and burn everything that Hannah ever gave to him?

But more in line with your post I kinda wondered what was up with this season, they (the writers)spent all last season setting my shipping heart a joy, for Booth to fall in love with someone else and then threaten cut Brennan out of his life completely this season WTF? And that level of self pity seemed out of character too.

like you say lets see where it goes, but I'm not holding out any hopes.

And yes Angela and Hodgins are adorable 24/7.

My goodness the ring thing annoyed me as well. Sure, we know you're upset, but yeah, would have been nicer if he'd just snapped it shut and, I don't know, pit it in his pocket or something. But I guess there's not much point in him keeping it, because the lady did make a point of saying that there were no refunds and no returns. Mostly though, I think that his throwing the ring away was just a tantrumy thing. Which had been my problem with Booth for a while - he's just so childish

I love Booth but sometimes he can be real asshole. I agree with pretty much you said here and regardless of my BB feelings, I liked Hannah :(

I liked Hannah too! And I felt so sorry for her last night, because none of it was her fault. She never lied to him about who she was - just like she said, he just wasn't listening. Oh Booth.

I have decided that I am in love with Hodgins. Also Angela. I want to be godmother to their kid, okay? :)

The dungeons and dragons community episode was fabulous. And last night's was pretty good too. Abed and Troy are adorable.

Basically. But I'm not going to waste time on being annoyed with him today because it's Fringe/Smallville day. Which is the best possible kind of day.

OH MY GOD IT WAS FANTASTIC. I mean fandom hated it but MY TRIO IS PERFECT WHY ARE WE NOT ALWAYS IN ALTVERSE. IT'S AN ASTRID APPRECIATION UNIVERSE.

But then I watched the promo and it killed my buzz. but whatever. FAVORITES.

I HAVEN'T WATCHED IT YET, BUT I GOT SPOILED FOR THE ALTLIV THING AND OMG WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ARE WE GOING DOWN THE PREGNANCY ROUTE? DO NOT WANT.

BUT I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE CHARACTERS. I WILL GET BACK TO YOU AFTER I HAVE WATCHED IT. CURRENTLY I'M JUST ABOUT NEAR HYSTERICAL.
