Day 6
Today was my anthropology day. Got to do a bit of learning while I'm here. Learning is important! Yes! Anthropology is awesome! :D
I went to the Amsa Prehistoric Settlement Site, which is on the outskirts of Seoul. I get a little nervous going out that way, because it's so far from the parts of the city that I'm more comfortable in.
So this settlement, right? I don't really know much about it, I got a pamphlet, except I haven't read it yet. Wait. Is it even in English? I didn't even open it. O_O /bad anthropology student.
What I know is that in the early 20th century, it rained a ton and washed away some soil to reveal parts of the site and then there was a dig. So then they found awesome things and then rebuilt the settlement.
I got to go inside one of the pit houses and walk around it a little. It was pretty cool, I really liked getting to see the actual site too. I walked around the museum part too, looked at the stone blades, pottery and other artifacts.
XD I wanted to get my picture taken, but I was alone so I walked up to this little boy. He was maybe 10 or so and I asked him in Korean if he would take my photo. In a perfect American accent he tells me he can and then he counts to three. :x I was a little embarrassed, but he was precious.
I got on the subway, sat there for an hour to get to Mokdong, where Leah works. I have this comic book that has Korean written on the front, but the book is in English. And I was just sitting there reading it when this little boy comes up to me and looks at the cover and then just gives me this really weird look. He was just like, what is this foreigner doing reading Korean?
I got off at Mokdong, found some star socks, but none of them were what I wanted ;_; SAD. WHY DO I ONLY FIND 2AM AND 2PM SOCKS?
I walked for to a Hyundai dept store, the one right next to the building where FT Island lives. It's called the Hyperion I think. It's pretty looking and tall.
But then I bought some ice cream and went to Leah's work and fed her ice cream! We went out for Vietnamese food in Hongdae before going to our favorite cafe before going out to drink with the oppas. It was Leah's friend's birthday, they are all about Leah's age or older, so they are all my oppas.
We drank and then noraebanged and then I don't really remember what happened cause I drank too much :x
