This is weird- this morning I checked the new copy of CR and then replied on my LJ to your comment early about it- then I get an email form you telling me to check it out.

Then I post an entry on my favourite film interiors and you post a flicker mosaic about retro interiors. Hmm

I better get extra points caused I read the entries in CR as well as your editor message thingy.

I think we must have some HP/Voldemort-esque mind link going or something, only don't try to use it to bump me off or anything.

Hi ...

I already added Cerulean Rain ... just haven't been friended back *hinthint*

Also - just to go off topic because I don't want to go dig on your LJ - I found yesterday that my webhost has begun hosting blogs and giving blogs away with every domain. It was just tiny!lol worthy after all the blog talk and drama (or not so much drama) on here...

I'm very envious of your finishing your degree ... be done with this cruel institution (I'm currently drowning doing my two-courses) Hope you do well with these last exams and things ... and hear from you soon...

Friended!

You should definitely send me a link to your host's site so that I can have a look.

And hang in there! I for one cannot wait to be a graduate, though I'm going to miss school badly. Lucky for me, I'll still have a year of post-grad to keep me happily ensconced at La Trobe, but part of me is itching to be in a satisfying job that challenges me and makes use of my qualifications. And you never know, you could randomly (and don't ask me how) stumble across a cure for all Trine illnesses!

By the way, Ce Magnific has been rejuvenated- do you remember us discussing it as a an LJ sister to CR? Anyway, we put the details in CR and I'm waiting for some interest so that we can get back into it.

my host is http://web10.dk - it's a Danish host - which is why I didn't mention it before as you said you were looking for Australian hosting ... but they offer some things in English (I haven't checked how much to be honest) and have above superb reliability, magnificent customer care, and low prices.

It's good to hear Ce Magnific is alive again ... I will pimp as soon as possible ... but I'd like to maybe hear the ideas for Ce Magnific as I assume I am still part of that other than just on paper... (btw. are you changing layout on CR.com anytime soon?)

I'm a bit surprised you only have one year of post-grad kinda... we usually only have post-docs hanging around... hm ... food for thought and something to distract me from my Introduction to Bioinformatics course ...

I don't think there is a cure for all Trine illnesses ...

You're definitely still part of Ce Magnific! When we set the community up, it was as a joint effort and I would like it to remain so.

I had a look at that link and I think I'd be better of with something in a language I speak fluently ;)

As for the CR website, that's a bit of a touchy subject within the ranks at the moment. Andrew went a bit design crazy and wanted to make some changes, but Lindsey (rightfully so) would like to keep the current look because she is responsible for it and is proud of all the work she put in. If you wanted, you could leave a comment on the Facebook or send an email letting Lindsey know that you think it could do with an update.

With post-grad, I'm only going to do a Graduate Diploma of Media Studies. It's not an especially prestigious or special qualification, but I am looking at magazines etc as a career path and this is much easier and more enjoyable than a Bachelor of Journalism, which is really for newspaper, TV and radio news etc. I don't think I'm serious enough for journalism, besides.
