My friends are always trying to pick me apart and make excuses for things that I do - things that make them uncomfortable because of how unfamiliar they are. I share some of this feeling of being an odd duck, but it's not my friends who come up with rationalizations for it - it's me. I'm the thing that won't let me just be.

I find that, as someone who spends so much time in my own head going over my actions and motives, I really bristle at other peoples' definitions of me. But that is why Sartre is my boyfriend. ♥
