I'd honestly love to work in a bookstore, but times like things one can't be picky. Spring break starts next Thursday - the first thing I'll do is apply to a pizza place around campus (they've been hiring for many months now).
Oh, I got your message awhile ago that you'll be in Phoenix..April 8th, I think? Phoenix is about a two hour drive away, so I can certainly make it out there as long as it isn't a day I have class. Let me know.

I'd say come to the event (NCECA), but a day pass is kind of ridiculous. I think it costs around $65-80 on certain days. OUCH. So unless you absolutely love the notion of a bunch of old arts people talking about the education of ceramics, I'd probably say don't bother. (I, however, am becoming a huge nerd on the idea.)
I don't know the ins and outs of my group's plan, but I'll update you as soon as we talk. BACK TO GOVERNMENT BAILOUT FUN.

Sorry to hear all this. A lot of people that I know have been getting laid off as well. Its such a crappy year for everyone..
I can only keep looking out for a light at the end of a very dark tunnel.
