Our realtor texted me at 9am saying she was waiting for the seller's agent to send her their signed copy of our agreement. She'd then call me to talk about other stuff once she got that. Never heard from her. Went about my day. At 12:30 she calls and they never signed and got another offer for more money so they're going to accept that one. Totally

Thanks. We assumed the hardest part would be finding a house and having our offer accepted because here in Texas real estate goes SO very quickly. So to assume we had the house and then suddenly find out nope, really fucking hard. Sigh.

Is there anything you can do? Get a lawyer?

They didn't do anything illegal. Unethical, perhaps. But until it's signed by all parties it wasn't a binding contract. We just don't understand why they countered if they weren't willing to accept it.
