UE Red Warriors, Champions? ext_104153 July 8 2008, 08:34:49 UTC
pao, ur one i'd trust my life on when it comes to analyzing basketball, but the UE Red Warriors as champions? the same team that has found a way to lose the biggest games that matter? the same team that lost to la salle in the finals after going unbeaten in the elims? based on my experience, chokers ang UE...

well..maybe they are due for a breakthrough season after all those years of heartbreaking finishes..

i think la salle and ateneo are the favorites this year..

that said, go uste (a darkhorse) pa din....!

Exactly. UE has an intact line-up, which I believe is one of the most important factors in basketball. Hindi mo pa rin matatawaran ang chemistry. The Warriors have that. Natalo lang sila last year dahil kulang sa poise at composure.

I don't know if you're completely familiar with season predictions, but the term "players to watch" doesn't necessarily mean that they are the star players of the team. It means they are the players who will either have a breakout season or a player who will surprise everyone. "Players to watch" means the players you should also keep an eye on aside from the Jervy Cruz's or the Dylan Ababous.

Canlas is averaging a career-high 9.3 PPG while Bautista is making a case for the Rookie of the Year award (15.o PPG and 3.0 APG in the last two games).
