Nostalgia always gets you when you least expect it.

I was rummaging through the cluttered files in our office for something to read while attending my regular meeting with the white marble bowl when I found the portfolio I passed when I applied for this sports scriptwriting job on a rainy day back in August 2006.

Sobra-sobra naman yata sa compliment. Hehe. Nevertheless, maraming salamat. 'Di ko kilala kung sino ka, pero sa pagkaka-comment at sa pagkaka-type mo, hula ko si Martin ka. Hehe.

Naks! Wala pa rin talagang kupas. Subukan mo lang. Kayang kaya mo naman eh. SA ngayon si Francis Ochoa lang yung reporter na nababsa ko na may flair mag-sulat sa sports eh. Serbisyo din sa mambabasa yung makita nila na pwede pala gawing mas exciting yung sports stories. Medyo bland kasi dito. Bihara yung mga feature, kung meron man mga PR lang ng kung sino-sino. Yung mga analysis mababaw din.
Tsaka contrary to popular belief mataas din sweldo sa ibang dyaryo. Sa Inquirer me profit sharing tapos sa Star meron silang 6-months worth of salary na bonus kada taon kumita man sila o hindi. Para naman mas marami maka-enjoy ng sabi nga ni MArtin eh mga "Mariano masterpiece." Hehehe

To be fair sa current na trabaho ko, masaya pa rin naman dito tsaka ayos din ang compensation, kaya wala pa naman akong balak lumipat. Minsan nga lang pakiramdam ko hindi masyado fulfilling kasi wala namang pakialam ang mga tao sa script, mga video tsaka highlights lang ang kadalasang pinapansin.

Lagi ko pa rin kino-consider mag-diyaryo, kaso nga, economically speaking, 'di pa puwede. Pero ayos 'yung mga napulot mo regarding profit sharing tsaka bonus. Hehe.

May quotation marks talaga dapat 'yung "masterpiece" kasi false title lang naman 'yan na pinapauso niyo. Hehe. Loko-loko 'to si Martin e.

'Wag ka magpapaniwala diyan kay Martin, pati kay Don na rin. Laging exaggerated mag-comment 'yang mga 'yan. Hehe. Still, thank you Mitch. Hopefully we can still "dabble" in journalism in the near future.
