Today, one of the girls at work encouraged me to seek out a slightly overweight, awkward man - a "fixer-upper," in the business - as my next partner. Because, you know, he'd be really grateful.

Seems logical enough.

He'd have to be mighty well read, though.

woah woah woah.. i didn't say a fat boyfriend was a bad idea. nuh-uh. i said a fixer uper boyfriend is a bad ide; tall, short, fat or skinny, if it's a project, it's a bad idea. also- how do you break people's hearts nicely?

Isn't this more of an ego issue? Anybody who thinks too highly of him/herself is bound to be bad news in a relationship. I've met far too many physically repulsive men that thought of themselves as God's gift to women.

At any rate, your sarcasm made my afternoon!
