So my sister finally convinced me to outright install my 14-day free trail of World of Warcraft. And so far, I gotta say, I'm unimpressed.

#1: See I had already heard, courtesy of Encyclopedia Dramatica, that there were days worth of patches to install. But seriously, it took 7 hours of patching and installing before I could even fire up the

I avoid all that by going to the thrift store and buying used board games for $2. After that it costs nothing to play but time, there is little if any installation time, and you usually have a maximum of 4 people playing it. At our house it's 2-3, some games allow as many as eight.
However, you are much more limited on your characters. And mounts are not available. But very little walking time is involved. Unless you go to the kitchen for a soda or get up to the cat out.

I think I'd rather meet the 10,000,000 WoW nerds over the internet than try to fit them all in my little room in the garage, though ;)
