it would depend if the friend had feelings back for him ... but if that happend to me id break up with him.

Well gee, I'd sure be jealous, which u prolly are. Ask him who he has stronger feelings for. And if he has stronger feelings for ur best friend, then dump him, because wuts the point of having a b/f who has stronger feelings over someone else then urself?
