I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. Something similar happened to my great-aunt. It's been a long, difficult two years, but she's now able to write and eat solids. The important thing is, as you say, that she's still with us. I hope that she'll continue to make progress in her recovery.

Congratulations on getting your master's!

i'm sorry your mom has gone thru all of this, but i am happy to hear that she is doin better and still alive. as you kno i lost my daddy at the end of the yr, so i kno wat it's like to think they're not gonna be around (we had been told a couple summers ago that he'd probably be leaving us sooner than later, but we hoped for atleast 3-5 more yrs with him) it's hard..but you'll never regret all this time and energy you've put into caring for your mother, i kno i don't regret any of the things i did for my daddy <3 stay strong bb and if you need me, you kno i'm here <3 ( ... )

I'm so glad your mom is still with you despite everything. ::hugs::

Congratulations on the masters!

My sister, nephew, and I were trying to work out our CA trip for June, but she has determined she(/they) can't afford it this year after all and wants to do it next year instead. I'm going to see if I could still get out there this year, myself, although most likely it'd be for a shorter time than I could manage while sharing expenses with her. I think I saw on Twitter that you're heading to Comic Con this year; is there any other time that's already scheduled or any time that might particularly be good for a visit?
