in continuation from my last post, i think there are a couple things that we could concentrate on that would help de-control us to a large extent. some of the largest corporations that have influence of a lot of what goes on now i believe is energy(oil and coal and such), pharmacuticals(sp?, drugs/"medicine"), and how humans work and our brains ( Read more... )

mmm, great exercise. Talk to Brooke, her beloved Manitou islands in lake Michigan. When I was there we hauled water 1 mile to our camp.
And we definitely didnt waste it!!

you are very right. i should think about this more. i did notice that since i don't have a car, i have walked between 2 and eight miles per day (depending on where i have worked) for the last three years and damn, walking is some good exercise. i lost probably 25 pounds over the course of a year just walking home from one job (four miles). i am a huge proponent of walking. not only is it great exercise, but you also see all kind of things about your local environment that you otherwise miss. i learned what time of night deer come out to feed in the park for example. crazy stuff!

wow! that definitely brings back some memories. remember when the cops had to come to get you out of class?? haha, i told some people about that story recently
