Cupcake Royale blurbs

Cupcake Royale is my favorite cupcake store. Thus far anyway. Their cake is a dense, well flavored and compliments their buttercream frosting very well. The vanilla frosting itself is something I could eat by the spoonful. Good thing it doesn't come in bulk ( Read more... )

Aw....I would offer to mail one to you, but that would probably end badly. I haven't tried that one yet, but it looks intriguing!

Haha, I've only been to the one in South Pas and Portos. I really should have hit up Sprinkles or Vanilla or ...places I don't even know about... while I was down. Ah well, I was too lazy. =)

Dunno if it'd offend the others' sensibilities or not, but between this post and your recent wedding-related ones, I just remembered that one of my friends' weddings had wedding cupcakes instead of a traditional cake. There were like five different kinds and were all very yummilicious. If you'd like, I could find out the name of the place that did it for 'em. :)

Ooo...I'm always looking for cake suggestions! Thanks! Cupcakes are kind of appealing right now since even the gourmet ones are half the price of a slice of wedding cake. And I'm not even sure how much cake a serving is: one place listed a $5 serving as 1"x2"x4", which is kind of small when I think about it.

...and sorry about spamming your f-list with wedding updates right now. It's just that this topic has the most motivation to rant about than other aspects of my life at the moment, though I have collected some interesting sciencey tidbits over the last week.

No worries; it seems like my flist doesn't really update much anymore anyway. ;)

Did you want me to find out the name of the place, or were you just happy considering that as a potential option?

Actually, getting info about the place would be great so we can eat our way over there. =)

I am totally pro wedding cupcakes. I am also pro-cupcakes, but thats mainly because they bake quickly and are fun.

Well, cake is not something I can bake well consistantly, so I'd probably order them from a bakery. But yes on pro-cupcakes!
