hide and seek

eternal sobbing of the sad and lonely mortal soul

I took a nap to get away from everything; yet there you were, invading my mind again even in my sleep. But I don't mind; I never do. You asked me to run away with you. From what, I wondered; from the seekers, you replied. I tried to ignore my fluttering heart as you grabbed my arm and took me away. We ran and ran until the voices calling our names gradually grew softer and softer, and when we slid into a hidden crevice far away from everything else only the sound of us inhaling and exhaling hung in the shroud of silence.

You laughed airily and said they'll never find us here; each word fitted in the spaces between each breath you took. I hoped they never would. With you still holding on to me we sat, laughing at the thought of winning this game of hide and seek. Your laugh echoed and I put my hand over your mouth to shut you up before they found us. Your gaze moves towards that hand, and then settles on my eyes. You lean towards me my eyes flutter shut your fingertips brush my cheeks our breaths become interlaced and then

Blackout. Lights up; I wake up.

[a/n: I guess all the feels I got from re-watching Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind influenced my dreams oh well a girl can dream right ha ha hA]
