The figure skating finals were wonderful. Russia won the gold, very deservedly. But I felt so sorry for Zhang Dan at the end. She and her partner attempted a throw quadruple salchow (okay, I looked that up) which apparently no one's ever done before, and she landed horribly - legs skidding out into the splits and her left knee hitting the ice ( Read more... )

I'm trying to write a play. Naturally the majority of this process is taken up by me sitting at my computer and trying to find ways to not write the play. Are all people this hopeless when it comes to mental discipline, or is it just me?
