I'd been meaning to write to Solomon for years and tell him how much his course on existentialism meant to me. His course taught me a hell of a lot about how to deal with life. He was also one of the few philosophers who actually had some business talking about psychology.

I'm glad I got to take a class with him. I wish I'd told him that while I had the chance.
