I know its hard to believe its christmas too!!! I was reading your bio. You are going to be in the sons and daughts of the union club?? I am a member of that but of the confederacy, and also one of the patriots i think. I cant remember, my grandfather did all of that stuff for me. LOL. I think its cool that you do live history as well, I wanted to do that for awhile. I think it would be alot of fun! God, I am such a nerd when it comes to history.

Well, actually I'm in the Sons of Confederate Veterans now. I'm also elibgible of the Sons of Union Veterans, but haven't completed my application process for membership. Now here's the "clincher".In
at least one battle, my two ancestors fought against one another ! How strange is that? Ashley, are you saying you are in the UDC ? I think that's great!

Did you get snow that one year it snowed in Padre and Galveston? System totally missed Austin, but I remember seeing a photograph of a dolphin statue on the beach with snow on it.
What year was that? Snow on the beach...amazing!
Love these Texas winters. Never know what is around the corner.

Yes we got snow in Jan., 2000,3 inches worth. That was the first
since Jan.,1985 when we got 8 ". When I was in the service, we were in upstate NY for 27 months. We were @ the top of the Adirondack mtns,
and loved every minute of it.We left up there in Nov.,1968,and every year at this time I get a real longing to be back there. That's the type of weather ones suppose to experience @ Christmas time!. Yeah
Texas weather is a puzzle @ any given time !
