[Atsuki Saijo arrived in Luceti in the center of town very early this morning. Like, three or four in the morning early. He was confused and such, of course, but given that he still had his ring and his clothes were neatly folded next to him (that was weird) he got his bearings rapidly. [To add to the people walking by without saying anything, Fenimore crosses the square wearing a shawl much like Shirley's over a blue and white dress, as well as the standard hat, gloves, scarf, etc. expected of the time of year. Despite all that she is already wearing, she is on her way to the clothes shop to see if any more of her clothing has arrived.

She's feeling somewhat uncomfortable and that feeling increases just a touch when she notices him. It's not particularly strong and the increase is pretty small now that she knows that none of the people here are involved in the kidnapping, but she is usually a bit on guard when she's wandering around Orerines. She's also been feeling rather down lately, but she's not currently thinking about the things that are making her feel that way. Poke me if you need more (or less) detail on that.

...tl;dr, she's not going to stop to address him, but she's glancing at him occasionally as she passes.]

I found the guide, but I feel I might still be missing something.

...Maybe. [Hasn't read most of the guide yet and this is before the lucetilocked post, so she can't tell him about that.] But I don't think I could tell you anything more than what's in there.

[It probably should be mentioned that she's a little irritated by the mention of the guide--she still is annoyed at it for going on and on about things like the journal and the calendar after mentioning that they were experiments rather than talking about that--but it's pretty minor since it's just a passing mention, so I doubt it'll be enough for him to bother?]

[Oh no, that's more than enough for a Shinen. seriously this game is weird Still, like I said, awkward to do on an overly moving target, so he doesn't activate Σ (yet, anyway) and instead just tries to focus on the nature of it. It's a Shinen of annoyance, perhaps one of minor disdain for other people. But on a girl with a heart like the one he just touched?

...It might relate to the concept of Orerines. Putting that said for now, Saijo merely keeps up his fail conversation with-]

The idea of being experiments is unsettling. [Something to try to provoke her to say more.

[Man, she's going to be so chill around him if he keeps poking at her emotional spikes. Still, he picked the right words if he was going for provoking more of a reaction.

She gets a little more irritated, but not too much. She's still annoyed that people seem to take being expiriments so lightly, but, after talking to Guy, she's realized that it's probably a way of coping for a lot of people and that she's often tried to keep her own worries from being obvious to others. Some of the sorrow he commented on earlier is coming out as well, along with an undercurrent of fear. She doesn't like being reminded that this is the second time being an experimental subject when she only barely escaped the last time less than a month ago. geez this girl is a mine of emotions]

That's a mild way to put it. [She sounds a bit grumpy.]

[To be fair as he's not erasing right now it's not like it'll clear up her mind, he's just feeling the outer Shinen. Not using Σ means that he's not messing with her head directly. I should clarify that...

As for the chill though: JUST AS PLANNED. Oh and that store is a clothing store or something idek either that he saw earlier today. But now that they're kinda just here, he might as well stop for a bit to continue this conversation in such a way that he can use Σ if needed.]

Most people would be scared.

[Oh, no, I guessed that, but I imagine that he's going to when they stop, which means she's going to be chill when he does. Sorry I wasn't clear.

Anyway, when he stops, she does as well. Normally, she might have gone in so they could talk while they were looking through clothes, but this is a pretty serious conversation to have over shopping. So instead, she'll stand with crossed arms looking not quite at him.]

I'd think anyone would be. Though the people here seem to have adjusted to it pretty well.

[Which is precisely why he's stopping here. This isn't the right topic for shopping at all and moods are important for these sorts of things. But after her reply, without missing much of a beat at all-]

They're probably scared on the inside.

Some of them, maybe, but, unless this is the world's biggest collection of stoics, I can't see it for most of them.

Hearts are complicated; some people can seem angry when they're scared or happy when they're sad.

...Yeah, I know.

[To be fair he knows most people would not understand his meaning. She probably does understand it, but does not comprehend it. Her lack of a notable Shinen there confirms that she is at least capable of empathy for others in this instance. His face remains cool - collected, really - as he pauses there before shrugging] Alright.

[A beat] It's cold; let's go inside.

[xelhes]

[She doesn't even understand it to the level that normal people do in that she's kind of struggling with the idea that the people around here are hiding their feelings about being experiments, but she thought she understood enough to at least protest that she did know. There's a small spike in irritation over how collected he is still since he's newly arrived, but it doesn't last long as she inwardly scolds herself over it and reins it in.]

Especially when you're dressed like that. [And she'll head towards the door.]

[And he of course bounds up to the door there to get it for her. He makes it looks smooth and natural though, because he's a badass like that. Smiling even-]

I do have a jacket, at least.

[xelhes]

[She looks a little surprised at the door-holding.] Uh, thanks.

[As she walks through, kicking the snow off her boots, she looks over at said jacket.] But it doesn't look very thick. [When she's inside, she'll stand to one side as she removes her outdoor clothing and tucks it under an arm. What she has underneath probably looks a little odd, as it is in Ferines style.]
