Notes: Take up any grievances with princesssid. She totally jumpstarted this whole process when, a couple weeks ago, I asked for prompts, and she replied "Hallsy is in love with Ebs; Ebs doesn't notice." Over the following week I so happened to read a bunch of Jonny/Pat and hockey rpf fics with so-tragic-you-scratch-your-heart-(but-you-loved-it) ( Read more... )

Ahhhhh, what a compliment! I'm glad you're enjoying them; I enjoy making them! :)

This one came together pretty easily, maybe because I have a ~thing for tragic endings, and sometimes fandom writers are very obliging, and sometimes they're not. SOMETIMES YOU JUST NEED YOUR HEART TO ACHE, OKAY?

Yes, I know the CC verse just sorta rips your heart out and holds it for you to see for a long time before even thinking of giving it back. The Soundtracks you made should come with a don't read the CC verse while playing or have a full box of tissues handy! The tears were so much even my cats were starting to worry.

Oh, CC verse. It really is brutal. I want things to end well for Jonny, Pat, and Chelsea so badly it kind of stuns me how much. (I totally teared up the first time I read Running Out of Air, that's how devastated I was. I don't tear up at fic, like, ever.)

But this mix is actually not related to CC verse! It's just a tragic little AU I made up on the fly because I wanted everyone to suffer and the idea had been rattling around my head for a couple weeks. I have a thing for making people miserable. I should probably be more concerned about that, lol.

What I've heard so far is that everyone likes to think of this mix as from Jonny's POV, which is pretty interesting to me. I totally created this mix with the thought that it was from Patrick's POV. But the more I listen to it, the more I like the idea of Jonny's POV. /tangent
