Movie night again. We rented Boys Don't Cry, Lost In Translation, and Taxi Driver, so we finally got to see what all the hype was about. three fanastic films, well done, and superbly written. all classics and in my top favourites now! hillary swank was fantastic. she deserved that oscar she won back in god knows when. bill murray too! i'm so used

Did you really like Lost in translation? I almost fell asleep with it. The story was abit tedious, predictable and pointless (imo). Kinda hard for me to believe that this is the same director as The Virgin Suicides, which is one of my favorite films.

There's a Thai film titled Last life in the universe. I think the premise of what Lost in Translation was trying to convey is better executed in Last life.... Not only is the story line ten times better, but Christopher Doyle's cinematography for it is amazing. Check it out if you get a chance. :)

Lost in Translation was a bit slow, but i still loved it. Probably because I could relate to Scarlett Johanssen's character. her loneliness and sort of abandonment. also like when she said she likes to write, but everything she wrote sucked and how she went through a photography phase and how she's trying to figure out her purpose in life and wonders if it gets better. life that is. so yeah, i'd have to disagree with you on this one. i thought it was well written and never imagined they would be soulmates! i even like the lack of dialougue in some scenes. it's different. to me it was significant and i like it better than virgin suicides actually, but that's just my preference. i'll check out Last Life In the Universe. thanks.

Bill Murray's performance was a little funny. He made some jokes, here and there.
This time we actually chose 3 great movies. I guess, NYminute would've ruined the vibe, huh?
