couple of loveable lulu things

lulu has favorite books now. she refers to them in the most loveable ways. for example, "hush little baby", a sweet update of the familiar song, is called "banjo" because the mama plays a banjo on one page. she won't go to sleep without it. likewise, 'ferdinand', about a peace loving bull, is called "bumblebee" because of a bee featured on one page ( Read more... )

aw, ferdinand is one of my all-time favorite books.

i forget how i found you - but we've got folks on our friends lists in common, so that must have been it! :)

my sister and i loved ferdinand as kids. i just discovered when i was reading it to my daughter that the cork tree has corks. it is a great book for grown ups, too!

wow, Lucia is less than a month younger than Lucy and she doesn't say ANYTHING! I love kids books, we can't get enough of them!

isn't that really typical of younger siblings, though? that they don't need to talk 'cause their older siblings do all the talking for them? lucy is definately an only child- she talks all the time!!!!
