The obvious answer is the sheer amount of free time one would be afforded by cutting down their sleep from one third of the day to about one sixth. For me, though, there is additional appeal from the structure that it would provide me [if I have hours of free time, I procrastinate. This would give me a schedule]. Also, because there is no large block of time during which one sleeps, one is not forced to choose a time of day to miss out on.
Can you elaborate on that for me, please? What were the perks for you, what were the drawbacks? How did it affect other things besides your energy... like your memory, ability to concentrate, and sex drive?
