I loved it, too. I'm not understanding what people aren't liking about it.

people have a hard time accepting a movie without a happy resolve, i suppose--especially after they sat through 3 hours of it.

I just bought the vinyl of Katapult a bit ago (I haven't bought a record let alone a NEW record in a billion years) and it's so fun to listen to!

Yes!

Ugh, I really wished I was still in SF when they played there and did the Aquarius in-store.

I'll give that Circle a try, yeah. Thanks.

Have you heard the Kalas record? I'm thinking of doing a write-up on that one.

You may laugh, but check it out. It's a lot better overall than The Cult is Alive. I can't remember what else of theirs you've heard...

I haven't heard this Kalas. I'll look it up.

Of Darkthrone I've heard Transilvanian Hunger, A Blaze in the Northern Sky, Plaguewielder, Panzerfaust, and The Cult Is Alive. I like a lot of what they did back in the day, even if it isn't something I can listen to everyday.

Kalas is the supposed "underground supergroup" that brings together members of Sleep, High on Fire, and a few other bands, that make a sound that is overall very pleasing and sometimes (dare I say) emotional. The album isn't "new" really (released in '06 technically), but I bet it'll be one of my favorite of the year.

Darkthrone get even dumber, and even more fun.

Precisely.

Also checking out Circle, and will be looking for those other albums you recommended the other day. It looks as though I can download fairly reliably again (yay!), so I'll start poking around for them once this file is finished.

Great!

There will be more where that came from, too, if you want more.
