Yeah, not for nothin', pal, but I don't see this post as necessary. Heck, I like two Lady Gaga songs, myself.

Seems I'm a bit self-conscious, making my way back into LJ-land.

Naw, I wasn't phased at all by that. I have a ton of pop music that I like well enough, I just don't tend to seek it out. And there have most definitely been stages of my life where I did seek out some artist or another that would make people look askance.

The only reason I really judge people for listening to shitassed pop music is when they don't realize that that's what it is, or if that's all they listen to. You know?

But it IS funny that I heard some Lady Gaga playing from some house while I was sitting outside on my break yesterday, and it made me think of you.

And the funny thing is it seems like you've become even more Metal since I first met you on last.fm...!

I guess I don't mind being that guy.

You should let me know if you hear anything truly awesome.

That's entirely last.fm's fault, and you're part of it. The main reason I didn't listen to more and varied heavy metal before was because I didn't know how to find out about it. Same thing with live shows, too.. I either didn't know about them or had no one to go with, and last.fm solved both problems, at least in part.

There's probably lots of truly awesome stuff I've heard, but I always assume that you've heard it already since you spend (or used to spend) way more time listening than I do. I'll do some thinking and let you know. :)
