i just read an incredibly well-thought out book called Cradle to Cradle by William Mcdonough..and someone else, i forget who. Very interesting take on revolutionizing design so that it focuses on creation of no waste, rather than just minimizing damage

The best thing about Cradle to Cradle is the way it's printed; they actually applied the no-waste principle to make the book. The pages and cover are made of a synthetic (waterproof) material that were made using green chemistry and led to no hazardous by-products. And the book structure itself is designed to be reuseable so the text can be chemically removed from the plastic pages and a new text can be printed inside.
