Because, if McCain won, and he enacted the exact same policies that Obama did, they'd be lauding him as a hero who saved the economy.

What the fuck would we blame him for? I mean, he left a mess, but indeed, no new crisises have occurred after Jan 20. It's not like Obama got into office and told companies "Look, let's be clear. I know you were going to stop laying people off the second I got into office, and boost your stock prices sky high, but why don't you just go ahead with a few more months of layoffs and keep the NASDAQ below 8000, okay?"
