You could always just ask in casual conversation what they are trying to accomplish and such like that. It really never hurts to try, and I am sure if you seemed interested enough she may give you some details.

It's a girls' club, and I don't know if you've noticed yet, but you're not a girl, James. Hence the out-kicking that would be sure to ensue. That, and Miss Evans just loves excuses to shout at you.

And no, actually, it tends to bruise your arse-- the whole staircase turns into a slide, and if you're not prepared for it, the bump at the bottom can be quite uncomfortable. (Again, not that I would know.)
