This would only add to his growing ego, wouldn't it? Being able to get away with chucking random snowballs at random students, with them only glaring at him in response. Potter's newest victim had been hitting a group of first year boys, holding a magazine in the middle of them. It was probably some naughty one they had nicked from their parents, ( Read more... )

Remus, from where he was sitting on a tree stump, reading, looked up at the snowball, throwing menace that was James. Smirking to himself, he got out his wand, formed three snowballs, and sent them whooshing over to bounce repeatedly off James head. He left them at it, quickly tucked his wand away, and continued reading, trying his best to look innocent. Surely James wouldn't suspect Remus, of all people... right?

Regulus passed behind James, noting Remus' sly assault with a slight smirk. While the younger Black had nothing against Potter, his obvious arrogance made him deserve what he got, in Regulus' humble opinion.

Noting the perfect chance for revenge for the time Potter had chosen her for a target, Lyrae decided to help finished the process of coating him in snow.

"Hey! Potter! Heads up!" she shouted as she used her wand to gather together a massive snowball, a little bigger than a quaffle and launched it at the Gryffindor boy's stomach.

"Bloody hell!" He had thrown one snowball, and now he was being attacked by snow. He had ducked behind a little snow 'fortress' he had made. Chucking some snow back at the girl, he laughed his arms over his head. "Did you do this?" He called, a friendly accusation. After all, this was what he had wanted right? A Snowball War.

Sadly, he hadn't noticed Remus and his spell. If he had, the poor bloke would have to deal with James's pleadings to learn the spell that he had used. Why? So he could use it against Sirius in their all out wars. Noting Regulus's smirk, James raised his eyebrows in mock suspicion before throwing another snowball at Lyrae. "Ha! Take that!"

Lyrae was sllightly puzzled, but quickly gathered herself and shouted back to him, "The cannon ball was mine! But I don't know about the ones around your head."

And with that, Lyrae twirled full circle with her wand pointed out, giving it a brisk flick when she stopped turning sending a tidal wave of snow at the Gryffindor boy. "This one is definitely mine!" she shouted with great pride in her work.
