Rome, you ask? In the words of Antman, "Rome is the best show ever."

It's on HBO and it is in it's second season. It has all of the intrigue, drama, violence, fantastic writing and production values that makes HBO shows like the Sopranos great. But in Rome, people are stabbed with swords instead of being shot by guns. I'll take a swordfight over a shoot out anyday.

I don't think it's an easy show to just jump into to. You may have to rent season one and catch the rest when season 2 is on DVD (although they may do a season 2 recap on HBO. You never know.)
