Oh fine, I give

I have to blog AI. I wasn't going to ... or thought maybe I'd wait until the field was down to 10 or something, but the girls are making me crazy and neither Twitter nor my Facebook status is enough for what I have to say.

Crystal Bowersox
Here's one of the ways I know it's good: it's a song style I don't like, and a song I don't prefer. And it was still good. Really good. No discernible pitch problems, and I liked it. I also liked her dreds up. Unfortunately, her teeth are so distracting, I just want it to be the ANTM week when they fix them for her. And yeah, that makes me think of Jewel, but they need to be fixed.

Haeley Vaughn
I know she's from Colorado, so I should be for her, but I can't be for her when I want to smack her upside her head. Her age is clearly a factor -- and not in a good way. Last week, she was one person. This week, she tried to be a black Miley Cyrus. Not good either. And the flowers in the headbands? Too bad she told us she makes them. Prior to that, you could at least pretend a stylist made her wear them. It's like a big neon sign that says, "I'm 12!" Between the intensely toothy-creepy smile, the lisp, and the mondo pitch problems, her future on this show is shaky.

Lacey Brown
Singing "Kiss Me", she was five thousand times better than last week. Not amazingly fabulous, but so much better than last week and so much cuter that she's safe for another week, for sure. She's got to get rid of the nervous sound in her voice, because her tone really is nice and bright and fun to listen to.

Katie Stevens
It's like watching a pageant singer. It doesn't matter what they sing, it will be heavy and ponderous and loaded with vibrato. Girlfriend is 17 and managed to make a lighter, hipper song heavy. The judges keep telling her to do something younger, but what they really need to tell her is to lighten up. She's doing her "concert choir" voice, and needs to bring it forward and brighten it.

Didi
The judges did NOT hear the same song I did. I thought it was fabulous. And to use their barometer, I could absolutely hear that song on the radio tomorrow. She did exactly what they're always telling people to do: take a good song, make it your own, but still keep it recognizable. People should pick up the phone for her.

Michelle Delamor
Again, the judges were on crack. The song choice may have been better than last week, but the key was in one room and she was on another coast. I want to like her, but that was so weak, I'm having a hard time liking her. Also, if Vera Wang is in the audience, have a camera man ready to go to her at any moment.

Lilly Scott
I really really want to like her, but am just not crazy about her yet. And also, I don't know if I can handle the white wig-looking hair. I like her tone -- a lot -- but she hasn't sold me yet. It's more like she's playing an alternative character, instead of actually being an alternative girl. She's safe for another week, but needs to step it up a notch.

Katelyn Epperly
Started out weak, but got comfortable pretty quickly. It's a little cocktail loungeish and so slow it almost put me to sleep, but it's nice for her voice. It's a Coldplay song, and I'm a fan, but I don't know if it's memorable enough. None of the significant pitch problems of the last few performers, though. She's oranger than John Boehner, but she's safe for another week.

Paige Miles
I don't know what to think. I seriously don't remember this girl from week to week, and I feel like this is a great karaoke version of a Kelly Clarkson song. Really -- it's good, but it's like karaoke in that she sounds like she's trying to sound exactly like KC. And she totally missed the high note. Probably safe for another week because she didn't suck, but totally forgettable.

Siobhan Magnus
If you're not too distracted by her eyebrows, she's pretty cute. Simon was right on when he called her a "funny little thing". Let's see how she handles Aretha's "Think". Is it just me or do her clothing choices NEVER go with what she's singing? Seriously, who is the stylist on this show? She's a 19-year old skinny white girl with a big huge voice. And unlike Katie, I believe her voice. She killed. And not a pitch problem the entire song. nice! Whoever did programming tonight chose a great way to end the show.

Predictie McLeaverson thinks we'll say goodbye to one of the following:
Haeley Vaughn, Michelle Delamor or maybe Lilly

Jermaine Sellers, Todrick Hall, or John Park
