Tonight's theme is Soul and R&B (did we really need two "ands"?) with Usher as the mentor. Evidently, they're just going to continue to go with young mentors for the audience instead of experienced musicians who could actually provide assistance and real mentorship to the performers. *sigh*

This was extra fun for me to read because FoolMan and I decided it was time to see what the fuss was all about, and we actually watched the show for the first time. (More about it in my journal.)

I love that she tells Usher, "I'm wicked nervous."

Honestly, who lets these girls go out on stage dressed like that?

I don't know, but in the handful of seasons I've been watching, I consistently want to fire the stylist.

I felt so bad for Siobhan last night. I was surprised that the judges' comments hit her so hard but I agree there was no need to have the camera follow her into the green room. :(

I've been feeling for a while now that every song Big Mike sings sounds the same as the last one. I wish he'd do something different. And I agree that he didn't listen to usher much on the "connect with someone at the back of the room" thing because he sings with his eyes closed a lot and he did that again last night.

If things continue on the way they have been, Tim will go tonight. I won't miss him. I finally figured out what it is about him that I don't like. It's his clenched teeth smile. Irritates the hell out of me. His singing is fine and I like it if I don't look at him. lol

If Didi goes, I won't miss her either though. Or Katie. They'll probably be the bottom three. Maybe not Katie though. She hasn't been in the bottom three for a while. I would put my money on these three tonight though - Tim, Didi, Katie.

Someone just said to me the other day that Casey's grin didn't go with his song. Perhaps I didn't notice because I looked away from the screen and was just listening :)
