Sometimes 140 characters just isn't enough

In the lag of time when I've pretty much not blogged, or only blogged about stupid things like American Idol or used this venue for posting my mealplans, I started watching Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. And I love it/him :) Except for a couple of really painful bits (Let us play with your look and Competitive Spit-takes, to name them), I find his ( Read more... )

Isn't it hilarious?! One of the first ones I saw was something along the lines of "can't we just call it an oopsie daisy instead of a catastrophe?"

I agree -- we need a laugh :) (and interestingly enough, the last article I read -- maybe a week or so ago -- said that BP actually isn't trying to shut it down!)

Jimmy used to be on Saturday Night Live where was also darling, but I think a lot of people really disliked him because he always cracked up during the sketches. He's probably one of the worst for not being able to keep a straight face during something silly. On the other hand, I always found it sort of endearing :) He's also in the American version of "Fever Pitch" with Drew Barrymore, where he's pretty cute, I think. He has some other movies (nothing big) under his belt, and I've always liked him. When he got his own show, I was thrilled because I do NOT like Leno and was just sort of "meh" on Conan.

Whoops -- I meant that I read that BP wasn't trying to shut down the Twitter account. But you bring up a good point ... it doesn't appear that they're trying to shut down the leak/gush/whatever either!

I love you, Ant, for so many reasons. For your grammar and punctuation skills. For your sense of humor. For your food-sense. For your American Idol posts. For your big heart. For your book-lovin' goodness...

And now for your dull, boring, omnipresent and just plain RIGHT understanding that people should give credit where it's due for (forgive the technical term) intellectual property. Gah! I hate, hate, HATE it when people think it's jim-dandy to take credit for someone else's brain.

Aw jeez, E-F. Now I'm all schmoopy and blushing :)

You know it's funny, but I think I love you for pretty much all those Exact. Same. Reasons. Well, that and because we never ran into each other all those years we had the same mom, too.

I'm glad you used the technical term -- makes my ranting about telling jokes seem so much more valid :)

And it IS a big deal. Thanks for the validation. Sometimes I need it :)
