Book List: 2011

Jan 03, 2011 12:05

I've finished my first book of the year, which means it's time to post the list, such as it is. Last year's number was woefully low, and I intend to go back to more reading this year. Less TV, less online time, and more books I say! The first book on the list is for the readthenewberys group. You're still welcome to join us!

I am still confused as to how my number for last year was so low! I'm also rather disappointed in myself about it. Just because it seems so lame :)

And I didn't even knit a lot!

LOL - we are totally on the same track. It's funny because I never started keeping a list until I joined BC and then I thought it was entertaining and informative to do so (plus, I could more quickly find the title of a book I had recently read by doing it). After that, my numbers went up for a couple of years and then ... started dropping dramatically. You're right that we shouldn't feel bad about it, but I still don't like it that I'm reading less and doing other (stupid) things more! I'm going to change that this year. Really!

It's so easy to sit in front of the computer for hours, doing nothing! (well, that's what I do - you might actually be doing something useful)

Anyway, I'm going to go back to my former list length. Or at least more than last year!

Finally a read books list I can compete with. (Not that I have to compete, but but it's always been not much more than a dozen since starting on the internet in the early nineties. (Not counting cliffs-notes-like reading of books for studies).
