What's going ON inside that head of yours?

I'm not a girl prone to headaches. Frankly, I don't think they felt safe in our house growing up - my father wouldn't have tolerated them, I'm sure, and I really rarely get them as a "grown up" (I use the term loosely, of course). But I have noticed that I've been getting them off and on for ... maybe the last 5 years or so. Certainly more than ( Read more... )

Hhhmmm. I'll be honest, I don't know how old you are now...but now that you have glasses you should probably have an eye exam every year or two. (No more than three years between exams. I think they suggest yearly though.)

Also, when I first read your reply I thought it said fourteen. I was really going to give you heck...until I looked again. ;)

You are cracking me up! Especially with that userpic :)

I'm 44 now. And I've been wearing my glasses constantly (for computer and reading) since I posted this and no headaches. But you bring up a good point. I should probably have my eyes checked before our benefits from my severance run out!

You don't look like you should be 39 much less 44.

And yes, if it's been that long you should certainly get an exam just to make sure your eyes haven't changed. You should go get everything checked before your benefits run out!

I'm with the alrescate in thinking that a trip to the eye doc is in order. Even if your prescription hasn't changed, there's a very good chance that your lenses have become scratched enough that seeing through them is a strain. It doesn't take much, and the scratches don't even have to be visible - tiny little micro-scratches can do it.

Take that bit of wisdom from a life-long glasses wearer.
:)

And you have quite one of the best brainz I've ever known. Please do take care of it!
