A Blog Entry of Great Import. Or, Why I Hate Burger King.

Jul 20, 2011 10:03

Recently, I was in a situation where I was forced to think about my extreme dislike for Burger King. I can't remember what I was doing or why I thought it needed to be traced, but imagine my surprise when I "remembered" why I disliked it so! Even more recently I was in a Facebook conversation where I had to type it and thought, "oh yeah, I can ( Read more... )

Love this post. I'm glad you don't like Burger King because your dislike has made me smile :=)

Neither the mascot nor the croissanwich are known to me, living here, although it's been a while since I've been in Burger King - like maybe ten years! - so I could be wrong there. Croissanwiches, per se, however, are known here. Many bars and sandwich places sell them, and I totally agree that they are an abomination!! If I have to eat plastic cheese and stringy ham (i.e. because I am starving and there is nothing else!) it will at least be in a proper toasted sandwich

I love that you wrote that :)

I love your brain, Ant. I too remember cringing about the "croissanwich" when I first heard those ads. But I had already given up fast food because, well, it's icky.

My brain loves your brain. And yeah, it's icky (not the brain, you understand...).

Love this entry!

But, enquiring minds (attached to a gal who is giggling right now) must know - WHY were you eating a McDonalds hamburger in a Whole Foods parking lot?

Sorry to leave you in suspense! I think it was hunger+lack of funds. And because Whole Foods bugs me so much, it seemed the best place to eat it :) (of course, I went in there to buy bulk lentils and cheese afterward, but ...)
