Wow. I feel for you guys completely, especially Jackie, and even more considering she's almost 18! My mom gets like that too, and for no reason, but my mom gets like that because she gets jealous when she sees me too happy...at least I think that's the reason. *shrug* I guess it's like that Fairly Oddparents episode where the alien comes down and falls in love with Vicky and their all like "what's the only thing that can ruin true love?" and then they all come up with "PARENTS!" lol. Some comic relief.
