2009 is going down as one of my worst years, no question. Actually, I'd say that two or three of my least favourite years came post-2005.

I wish the decade was mathematically ending, not just the fucking year.

But I live in hope for a better tomorrow nevertheless. Here's to yours, and to mine.

I am mentally ending this decade. This last decade can't be put down as one of my favorite decades. What is this decade called anyway? Does it suck so bad it doesn't even have a name?

There's no consensus on a name for this (that?) decade, that i know of. For what little it's worth, I'm guessing that "the oughts" is going to win a weak victory - but maybe we'll stop thinking that decades need a name. I think it's a pretty new phenomenon.

But I share your desire to put an end to it. The reason I say I won't is that it's mathematically incorrect; the real reason is that I'm not prepared to blog a serious retrospective.
